I call it digital inertia. It builds up within any computer from the moment it is assembled, sold and fired up for the first time. All computers, no matter how fast, how furious, become lumps of porridge within a few months. Some last longer, but the build up of digital dust mites and laziness is something none of us can avoid. Our speed demon has become a horned turtle and we always ask ourselves what happened? We find ourselves turning to our technologically inclined friends and asking "How to speed up my computer?" There are a lot of factors involved, but I'll tell you some sure fire ways to speed up your computer in 1 hour.

Over time, because of its dedication to keep up to date, you will realise your program task bar is full of programs, some of which you have no idea how they got there in the first place, and some of them you haven't even used past the first 'fire it up and test it' phase. All these programs after a while end up putting a lot of clutter in your memory, because over time, the information gets fragmented and Windows has to constantly re-fragment the information, seeking it out from hidden digital cul de sacs, weaving it together for a program launch. Defragment your disk! It will take you less than an hour - maybe more if you have the entire Guggenheim museum stored in your hard disks. You will notice a 50% increase in speed, guaranteed. Other than Windows disk defragmenter - there are plenty more efficient and speedier, full featured defragmentation programs out there for you to use.

Another reason for the gradual decline in speed could be that a PC is overloaded with information. Take a look at your start-up programs and the programs you have running in the background. Are they essential? A full featured anti-virus program cuts quite deep into the virtual memory. Scrutinise all the programs you have and delete and uninstall the ones you don't need - especially the ones that are using up precious memory. Just press Ctrl-Alt-Del, and run through the processes tab - a lot will be revealed to you. If, by chance, you need all those programs, then don't fret - upgrade your memory. Buy an extra stick of RAM if your PC is overloaded with your high memory programs.

Optimise, optimise, optimise. I can't stress this enough. There are so many programs and registry cleaners out there on the internet that help to clean out the registry, all loose floating files in hidden temp and system folders and any digital stragglers choking the otherwise fine machinery of your speed demon computer. A program like this does everything from A-Z, sniffing out all possible sectors of your computer, including that all important brain box of a registry that basically controls EVERY aspect of your computer. Keep it up to date and clean - that makes the difference between a running computer and a stuttering computer.

So, there you have it, sure fire ways to speed up your computer. Of course there are so many other ways and so many different sectors that need addressing, but these are some of the common and major issues plaguing PC users the world over.

Reviews Of Slow Cookers

The popularity of slow cookers dipped since the 1970s. Ruth's Chris and Alfred's are one of the pioneers in the providing the best steaks in town.

A steak house is a restaurant which specializes in serving beef steaks. These restaurants are common in European countries and in the United States. A usual combination of a steak dinner includes rice, beans, and potato dish. Sometimes it comes with vegetables, mushrooms, and onion rings.

Steaks are slices of meat which are usually beef. In order to attain tenderness of the meat, it is usually chopped vertically to the fibers of the muscle. It is a common practice that steaks are served grilled. There are many types of steaks available. The most ideal part for steak is the tenderest part of the animal. Because of the qualities of steaks, it has higher price compared to ordinary meat. The most expensive among the steaks is the T-bone steak because of the large portion of meat served to an individual. This is the tenderloin part attached with a T-shaped bone.

Cooking a steak for a shorter time will produce juicier tastes while a longer cooking time will result in a drier and harder meat. However, longer time reduces the cholesterol content of the steaks and is beneficial to health. Let's get to know several of the most famous steak houses.

Ruth's Chris Steak House
This steak house is one of the most popular and the finest in the United States as well as other countries. In fact, the Travolta Family Entertainment awarded the restaurant the 2006-2007 Golden Icon Award as the Best Steak House Chain.

Ruth's Chris is known for its signature of keeping the best quality by serving only USDA prime steaks to its valued customers. In addition, the restaurant also serves fish, lamb, shellfish, and chicken. All of its branches have smaller rooms intended for private dining. An online reservation is also available for convenience. A dress code which is either business or casual is maintained.

Best Steak House
This steak house has been around since 1964 and has been serving high standard steaks in the Midtown Street Louis. The best wines are also served for wine lovers.

Besh Steak
Besh Steak comes with a spacious area that can accommodate 150 customers. It is located in New Orleans and is right in the middle of blue water like crystal puddles with splendid amber bar. The place is finely decorated with George Rodrigue's Blue Dog artwork. The interior of the steak house is a combination of a traditional steak house and New Orleans influence. The restaurant presents wine from the finest wineries in France and California.

Alfred's Steakhouse
This steak house was started by Alfred Bacchini in Broadway Street in 1928. He was the folks' most favorite waiter in San Francisco. Alfred then decided to open a steak house. The restaurant he established soon turned out to be very popular. Politicians and other well-known personalities became its regular customers.

Alfred's Steakhouse was then purchased by Arti Petri and his son Al in 1973. During the whole period, father and son worked hard for the business. They have kept up with the customary qualities that have made the restaurant well respected.

In 1997, Alfred's Steakhouse was moved to Merchant Street. After five months of reconstructing the new place, Alfred's was reopened to the public. The restaurant offers the tenderest and juiciest steaks in the area. The good flavor is achieved because Alfred's uses only corn fed beef with the right content of marbling. Through all the years of operation, Alfred's proved its distinction when it comes to steaks.

How to Tell if a Guy Likes you - Five Signs He's Interested

How can you tell if a guy likes you or is interested? You noticed him when you were standing and talking with a friend. You think he noticed you, but maybe it was your imagination or just wishful thinking. He looked at you at about the same time you saw him. Your eyes met for just a few seconds, and then you looked away. When you looked back up, he was talking with some other people. Was he watching you as you mingled? Or were you making that up? How can you tell if a guy likes you? Why are guys so hard to read?

Here are five signs that he is interested in you too. If any of the following happens, he is probably trying to get close enough to ask you out:

1. He tells someone

Is he interested? He likes you if he tells a mutual friend that he wants to know more about you, or he asks other people who you are and where you're from. He is trying to act like he's "just asking" but his questions indicate more than a casual interest. And when he tells someone that he finds you attractive, he probably knows that it will get back to you. He's hoping it does.

2. The look

He gives you a look that betrays his calm exterior. Even though he is across the room, "that look" he has says it all. It is sweeping, from your head to your toes, and then his eyes linger on yours. You think you notice the beginning of a tentative smile.

3. The conversation

Does he like you? When he manages to get close enough to you, to ask you questions, he is interested. He appears to be listening and responds to what you say. He's moving in to the ultimate question, which is: "Are you seeing anyone." He would only ask this question if he wanted to date you, and he hopes the answer is "No." Never ever wear a ring in public. When a guy is across the room, he cannot tell which finger it is on and he may assume incorrectly that you are taken. If he doesn't ask you the question of whether or not you are attached, he may ask someone whom you both know.

4. He appears unexpectedly

He likes you a lot if he shows up out of nowhere. He can only do that if he has been asking people about your schedule, or he has been paying attention to where you are going and at what time. His face may turn red when he sees you. A sudden, "Oh, hi," is his way of saying, "I don't want to seem obvious, but I am interested in you." If you feel the same way, do not act shy. Stop and talk to him.

5. EVERYONE likes you

Is he interested? When you are well liked and a happy person, why wouldn't he like you? Of course he does. If you don't have a great life, however, now is your time to start working on one. Take a look at your career possibilities, body image, future, plans, and resources. You may be naturally talented at something, but it won't matter unless you work on your strengths. Misused or unused talents fade away. School and training do not.

These are the five signs that he is interested and he is on the verge of asking you out. Make it easy for him and be friendly. Even though my site is quite customized now and doesn’t look like a standard Blogger.com blog (hopefully!) it is hosted by Blogger which doesn’t automatically provide the facility to add elements to every post.

However, it’s incredibly easy! So let’s go through it step-by-step!1. Go to the ‘Edit HTML‘ part of your blog’s Dashboard and backup your template by clicking ‘Download Full Template‘. Why? Because mistakes happen!

2. Click the ‘Expand Widgets‘ checkbox to show your complete template.

3. Do a search or scroll down to find <data:>“>post.body/></data:> This piece of code represents the body of the posts in your blog. Hence, adding Adsense code immediately before this will result in your Adsense ads being displayed between the posts title and body. Adding Adsense code immediately after this will result in the ad being displayed between the body and comments links. For Adsense to display correctly, you’ll need to remove the tag from the Adsense code

4. Save it and take a look at your blog! You should have now have Adsense incorporated into your posts.
Remember, Adsense limits the number of text/image ads to three per page. So if you’re just using the ads in the posts, it will only display for the first three posts. Similarly, if you’re displaying ads in your sidebar the number of ads displayed in posts will be limited.

Also remember that when it comes to sidebars, your blog is read from left to right. Therefore, if you have more than two posts displayed on a page and Adsense code in your right sidebar, the right sidebar ads will not display. Adsense will display the ads in your first three posts and then not be able to display it in the sidebar.

No problem!
Adding Digg buttons to your posts is exactly the same process. You can find a whole lot of buttons to display by going to the Digg site or clicking here. However, most of these are purely links to the Digg homepage. The best piece of code that I’ve found is this one:

http://digg.com/tools/diggthis.js‘ type=’text/javascript’/>

This piece of code is the best as it enables your readers to not only ‘Digg’ the post from your site but also to submit the permalink of your post to Digg. And it will display for every post.
Simply by adding any code you like to the appropriate part of you template, you can add anything you like automatically to all of your posts! For example of how it can look, simply look at the end of this post!

Happy customizing!
